WE WENT TO SEE came out of the experience of many live performances, firstly on the streets of Adelaide, busking by the Rundle ‘Mall's Balls’, and later in schools, kindergartens, church halls, social clubs – anywhere that would take us. 

 

In the late 70s, all three of us – Susan Oliver, Kathy Pike and Mandy Dyson (now Treagus) were people of simple Christian faith that was expressed in both our lyrics and in our willingness to perform almost anywhere. 

 

While the album seems sometimes misguided and downright wrong in parts now, it still contains a vibrancy that expresses how much fun we were having most of the time with our writing, playing and vocal harmonising. Our willingness to just be silly speaks of a more innocent time.
