An Intro from Norman Pell*
Let me introduce you to Robert Colman. The first time I saw Robert he was playing the leading man in the musical “Irene”. The previous 16 years of his life had been spent as an actor-singer. For twelve of those years he appeared on the West End stage, singing on BBC radio and television and in cabaret engagements throughout the U.K.
After attending the 1959 Billy Graham Crusade in Sydney, Robert became a Christian. In 1975 he believed God was re-directing his life towards greater involvement in Christian work. He was invited to join the ministerial team at the Blackburn Baptist Church in Melbourne and since then God has used his special gifts in evangelism, discipleship and music to present the Christian faith in a contemporary way.
Robert has been involved in compering and singing at Christian rallies and concerts throughout Australia and was soloist with the Leighton Ford Reachout Team in Australia. Robert’s single aim is to introduce you to the first person in his life… Jesus Christ.
MY TRIBUTE was released under Rhema Records in 1978.
