This album celebrates some of the most popular songs that FAMILY recorded in the 1970’s and 80’s. The Trio, formed in 1972, was put in the national spotlight when they toured with Burt Bacharach around Australia in 1973.

At the insistence of their Ch. 7 record company promoter, their first self titled album was preceded with their single “Hallelujah Day”. It made significant inroads on the Top 40 charts around Australia.

FAMILY comprises Phil Truscott, Ian Smallbone and Ian Truscott, all originating from Queensland. The harmonising trio managed to cross over into the ‘mainstream’ music scene while maintaining their Christian values.

FAMILY appeared on every major TV show in the 1970's and 80's, some of which were 'In Melbourne Tonight', 'The Graham Kennedy Show', 'Showcase', 'The Bert Newton Show', 'The Mike Walsh Show', 'The Today Show', 'The Ernie Sigley Show', 'Ernie and Denise Show', 'Mike Willessee's Current Affair' and 'In Adelaide Today'.

Along with their numerous Australian Tours, FAMILY toured the USA twice, Papua New Guinea 3 times and New Zealand 4 times.

Over several decades, FAMILY was focussed on singing and preaching about the love of their Lord Jesus Christ to thousands of people including many outside of the Church structures.
